Félicitations à Sbach Xue, élu résident du mois de Novembre, pour son implication dans l’évolution de New World Grid. Grâce à lui, vous pouvez communiquer avec vos amis sur Second Life via un Intercom (qui se trouve sur Welcome). Il travaille aussi à l’élaboration de la Map qui vous permettra bientôt de réserver votre ou vos régions.
Si vous aussi vous souhaitez apporter votre contribution au développement de New World Grid, vous pouvez rejoindre notre groupe de volontaires. Pour se faire, contactez un Newman qui vous remettra
un questionnaire et pourra vous données des missions en fonction de vos compétences.

Ce jeudi 4 décembre, une conférence a eu lieu sur Second Life pour présenter New World Grid, les points abordés ont été les suivants :

- Présentation de New World Grid
- Présentation d’OpenSim
- Second Life TM et OpenSim
- Votre monde virtuel chez vous

Suite à cette conférence, les invités ont pu poser leurs questions à Olish Newman. Voici quelques une de ces questions réponses :

· Peut-on se téléporter de Second Life vers New World Grid ?

Actuellement il n’est pas possible de se téléporter entre Second Life et New World Grid.
Mais l’équipe des développeurs d’OpenSim ont déjà créé un moyen de se téléporter entre les Grid grâce à
HyperGrid, système pas encore sécurisé.

· Peut-on transférer des objets entre Second Life et New World Grid ? (Objets, scripts, textures, ...)
Il est possible de transférer des Objets, Scripts et Textures via Second Inventory (en vente sur Second Life) si ceux-ci sont Full Perm. Si vous êtes le créateur de ces Objets, Textures, vous pouvez les
transférer sans restrictions, si vous n’êtes pas le créateur, il est préférable de contacter le créateur de chacun des éléments que vous souhaitez transférer pour avoir son accord afin de les exporter vers New World Grid / Second Life (New World Grid ne sera tenu pour responsable  en cas de litiges).

· Il existe plusieurs Grids (New World Grid, Franco Grid, ...) Ce sont des mondes différents, pas d'interaction
entre eux, est ce qu’un avatar doit être crée pour chacun de ces mondes ?

Oui il faut créer un avatar pour chacune n’ayant pour le moment aucune connexion entre elles. Chacune de ces Grids étant indépendante et possédant ces propres serveurs et réglementations.

· Est-ce que toutes ces Grids fonctionnent avec les mêmes versions d’OpenSim ?

Non, toutes les Grids ne sont pas sous les mêmes versions d’OpenSim. Chaque Grid met à jour comme il le souhaite. New World Grid favorise la stabilité.

· Comment se connecter à New World Grid ?

Afin de vous faciliter l’accès a New World Grid, nous avons personnalisé Hippo OpenSim Viewer pour vous connecter avec le moins de manipulations possible.

· Qu’elle configuration d'ordinateur est nécessaire pour faire tourner une grille correctement ?

Cela dépend de ce que vous voulez faire. Visitez le forum de discussion, ou trouvez un bénévole de New World Grid (in World) qui peuvent vous aider et vous donner une explication détaillée.

volunteers. To do so, contact any Newman who will give you a questionnaire to complete. The data will help us to identify a specific role for you, dependant upon your skills. You can now communicate with friends on Second Life via an intercom (from Welcome). We are also working on the development of the Map, so you will soon book your own regions.

On Thursday December 4, a conference was held on Second Life to present New World Grid, the points were as follows :

- Overview of New World Grid
- Overview of OpenSim
- Second Life TM and OpenSim
- Your virtual world at home

Following the conference, guests were able to ask questions of Olish Newman. Here are some of these questions and answers :

· Is there a Second Life teleport to New World Grid ?

Currently it is not really possible to teleport from Second Life to New World Grid, although this is under
development. OpenSim developers have already created a system that will allow teleporting between grids OpenSim (not Second Life) through HyperGrid, but this system is not yet secure.

· Can I transfer objects between Second Life and New World Grid (Objects, scripts, textures) ?

You can upload Objects, Scripts and textures via Second Inventory (for sale on Second Life) if they are Full Perm. If you are the creator of these objects, textures, ... you can transfer them without restriction. If you are not the creator, you should contact the creator of each item you want to transfer and seek his/her agreement to export to New World Grid. As objects created in Second Life are not implicitly intended to be used in Other virtual worlds (New World Grid can not be held liable for litigation).

· There are several Grids (New World Grid, FrancoGrid, ...) These are different worlds and there is no interaction between them, therefore does an avatar have to be created for each of these worlds ?

Yes, we must create an avatar because each of them has yet no intergrid management system. Each of these Grids being independent and having its own servers and its own regulations.

· Are all these Grids operating with the same versions of OpenSim ?

No, all Grids are not under the same versions of OpenSim. Each Grid updates as it wishes. New World Grid promotes stability.

· How do I Download New World Grid ?

To make easy to access New World Grid, we have preconfigured the Hippo OpenSim Viewer for you to connect with ease and simplicity.

· What computer configuration do I need to run a region correctly ?

It depends on what you want to do. Visit the forum or chat, or find a volunteer on New World Grid that can help you and give you a detailed explanation.
