TUTO to change the OpenSim version in the new version of New World Studio Hypergrid.

Eden Cat
New World Studio has been released but not the version you want and you can not link the choosen Hypergrid worlds ? It's not a problem. I'll explain how to change it.
This tuto is valid for the 0.6.9, 0.7.1, 0.7.1.1 and 0.7.2 versions.
Download New World Studio in zip version at the following address:
 http://code.google.com/p/newworldstudio/wiki/Downloads?wl=en

Then download hypergrided standalone preconfigured OpenSim diva :
For 0.6.9 version = diva-r12757,
For 0.7.1 version = diva-r15402-b,
For 0.7.1.1 version = diva-r15592,
For 0.7.2 version = diva-r13981, but it is not required because it is already included in the new Hypergrid New World Studio.
Here is an address for downloading them:
https://github.com/diva/d2/downloads

Once this is done unzip the whole.
For example, I will use version 0.6.9 .
Go now to the selected diva version: in the selected diva-version directory

Select everything in the directory and right click then copy.
Then go to the directory:
New World Studio Portable / Virtus France Association / New World Studio / OpenSim / diva-version wanted/

Select everything inside, delete the content and make a paste of the selected version.

That’s it for versions 0.7.1, 0.7.1.1 and 0.7.2 it's over, you can install your sim.

CAUTION: For users of Vista, it may happen that by installing you get a memory write error leading to a blue screen and a computer rebooting. In this case, either you make a household in the computer using the Disk Cleanup utility located in Start / All Programs / Accessories / System tools (it is mandatory to restart the computer),

Or you wait for the windows error message which does not always trigger.

If one of the options here above isn't activated, you will still get a blue screen.
For version 0.6.9, after installation, we will have to make some very simple adjustments because you will note that after connection, your regions are either not assigned to anyone or are not in your name,so you have no control on them. It does not matter; we are going to fix it.
We will download a short software: Notepad + + to the following address:
http://portableapps.com/apps/development/notepadpp_portable
Do not worry, this short software is very lightweight and compatible with all versions of Windows.

Install it by indicating a directory destination and open it.
Then go to the following directory:
New world Studio Portable/Virtus France Association/New World Studio/opensim/diva-version wanted /bin/regions/
and open the file: RegionConfig.ini.example in the notepad.

You get this :

Copy the whole content of this file in notepad++ to get this :

You see it will be easier to change data that way
Instead of all the Master Avatar, put the full name of your personal avatar, the result will be having your regions in your name.
Then delete the content of the RegionConfig.ini.example file and copy the notepad++content in the same file.
Close everything and go to the following directory :
diva-version wanted/bin.
You will find an application called : Configure

Click on it and answer the questions in the back window which opens
Questions are :
 Name of your world
1° MySql database passworld for opensim account: Do not answer
2° Master Avatar Password (default): your password.
3° Your IP address or domain name (default 127.0.0.1 not reacheable from outside): Do not answer
4° This installation is going to run on
 (1) .NET/Windows
 (2) *ix/Mono
Type 1 or 2 (default 1): It indicates you to type 1 for Windows or 2 for Linux; if you don’t type anything, Windows will be taken by default.

Press enter and you’re done, you can connect to your new world.
Good fun.
